From the Service to the Stage to the Studio
Michael started studying music shortly after leaving the military — and never really stopped. Bands, degrees, and a few thousand miles later, teaching turned out to be the thing he loves most.
The Start
Picked up the guitar seriously shortly after the Military — the beginning of a lifelong pursuit of music.
On the Road
Played and led multiple bands across New Mexico, Colorado, and up the West Coast, building a career on the bandstand.
Colorado
Earned a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies and Performance from the University of Northern Colorado.
Washington State
Discovered a passion for teaching — the moment that shaped everything since.
Today
Has taught hundreds of students and now runs his own private guitar studio, serving Fort Collins, Loveland, Longmont, Greeley, and the greater Denver area with lessons in guitar, piano, bass, and ukulele.
